23rd January 2014
The annual fixture against Roehampton took place on a cold evening on 23rd January.
Always a friendly, competitive occasion where we are made most welcome and enjoy excellent squash and après squash in the form of wine, a meal and lively banter. This year was no different and even the score line was the same as last year - a narrow win for Roehampton 3/2.
The Nos. 1, 2 and 3 for Roehampton were too strong with only Chris Lowry managing to take a game. The GB Vets triumphed at 4 and 5.
Unfortunately the everlasting Doubles duo of John Woodliffe and Lance Kinder were unable to be there but two doubles games were played amongst both teams.
Nigel Belle thanked Nigel Clarke for arranging the match and for hosting a most enjoyable fun evening and in response Nigel C toasted the GB Vets Club and invited them back next year.
