Our famous octogenarian doubles pair of John
Woodliffe and Lance Kinder got
us off to a perfect start with a straight games win and
Alan Boulden at No.1 played really well
and was too steady for Dave Andrews, so GB Vets lead
2-0. However it was the middle order that let us down
where Ash Chakraborty and
Graham Chambers both won the first game but
were worn down by fitter opponents and with
David Parker also going down the tide turned in
favour of Dorking for a 3/2 win.
A very enjoyable evening followed until closing time.
