GB VETS v HURLINGHAM

14th MARCH 2019

Our annual match at Hurlingham was as usual a great success. We won the match 4/1 and then had a superb supper with wine afterwards.

In the match John Woodliffe and Lance Kinder got matters underway in the doubles and lost three close games. Thereafter we won all four singles matches. Francis Sancisi was in his usual commanding form at No.1 although he did drop a game this time.

Alan Boulden was in good form and was too steady and consistent for his opponent at No.2. We also proved too strong at 3 and 4 where Ash Chakraborty and Mick Murray both played with too much skill and variety for their opponents.

Thanks to Paul Lubbock and the Hurlingham team and we look forward to renewing rivalries next year.
