It was to be hoped that the 2/3 defeat inflicted on the GB Vets in 2012 would be turned into a win for 2013. No such luck!

Robert Smith at No.4 and Andrew Bonner at 2 both went down 0/3. A very spirited effort by Mandy Akin at No.1 took the first game 10/8 but then lost the next three, all very close.

Brian Cane, ex member at Bexley, had a see saw match that could have gone either way but in the end he narrowly lost 6/9 in the fifth.

It was left to Peter Young at 5 to save the GB Vets from a whitewash, as he won 3/0..

Excellent squash, excellent company, excellent food thanks to Bexley’s non playing Captain John Prowse (also a GB Vet) for arranging a most enjoyable evening.
