Fixture Detail

Well, a good evening and very competitive squash enjoyed by all. Apologies for the slight panic that we had played out of order. A combination of poor hearing and no glasses meant I thought Peter Culver should have been playing no. one. Peter Call was most insistent his name is Peter Call (which it is!) and he is no. 1 and we got back on track.

So, results:

1. John Mehinick vs. Peter Call - Lost 3-2 - 15-13, 10-15, 15-7, 8-15, 15-9 *A quite brilliantly competitive match - most enjoyable.
2. Steve Jackson vs. David Stanton - Lost 3-0 - 16-14, 15-11, 15-10 *Well done Steve (as ever!) - David played well in patches with some great rallies.
3. Peter Johnson vs. Peter Culver - Lost 3-1 - 9-15, 15-13, 15-13, 15-10 *Also a very competive match with similar styles.
4. Allan Davison vs. John Petruscke - Lost 3-0 - 17-15, 15-9, 15-12 *Allan (as ever!) a banker - like a lot of the matches, John got very close in a couple of the games.
5. Paul Hudson-Ognall vs. David Parker - WON 3-0 - 15-8, 15-12, 15-10 *When Paul says 'Another leisure centre boast' - somehow I think this is NOT said as a compliment!?
6. Misha Kluyver vs. Kim Ricks - WON 3-1 - 15-12, 15-13, 15-12, 15-13 *Really good competitive match but as we all know Kim rarely ever loses!
7. Howard ? vs. Derek Wright - Lost 3-2 *Great match with some amazing rallies. It looked like Derek was on top but Howard (Credit where due) raised his game to eventually close out the match. 

A 2-5 defeat but as you can see from the scores some really close matches.
